If you use firefox get "ad block plus" to get rid of the ads...
I highly recommend firefox for those who are still using IE.

Skies, no not making fun of you, I've enjoyed what you've added to the forum.
It's like the lyric in Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven; "cause you know sometimes words have two meanings". I've heard that idioms are one of the most difficult parts of the english language and this place has to be much worse than average with all of the cryptical references (pun intended). I sometimes have problems figuring out what a person is talking about here, for example; in the thread "Obama's favourite opener" I could not figure out what West Cumberland Blues was refering to with the encore of "BDP". After ckecking through my handy bookmarks to no avail, I resorted to google and came up with "Boogie Down Productions" , something dealing with hip-hop music, so I stopped right there and never asked for clarification.
Anyway here are some of my favorite bookmarks, may they aid you in decifering the forum and lead you on to more dead knowledge;

NedtheHead:thanks for infos.that much info,owerwhelming ! I'lltry it soon .Meanwhile ,if a american deadhead CAN have problem at time undestanding the cryptical talk of other deadheads ,then imagine how it is for us,deadheads from elsewhere ! It"s like shiny stones glitters when only an expert can tell if it"s a real gem or just a polished piece of rock . I know dead.net,for almost 3 weeks now and I like .so ,there are other real deadheads sites oninternet besides David Gans's ?

Yeah and if Hitler had bypassed Stalingrad and sent Paulus and the Sixth south to Baku it would have been an entirely different plate of weinerschnitzel ...
